Comment on “Symbol Formation and Transformation in Theory and Practice”

Abstract

This response builds on the article by Dr. Barros on symbol formation and
transformation and suggests that what is symbolized and unconsciously
communicated is the experience of contact between analyst and analysand
(subject and object, self and other, etc.), through an aesthetic process beyond
the secondary manifestations that refer to it.
