Autotomie et clivage : de l’image au concept
Abstract
Ferenczi adopted an epistemological position he called utraquism, which
means “one and another.” He used the term to manifest the importance of
establishing a dialogue with other scientific theories in order to produce new
theoretical elements. In this presentation, we support the hypothesis that the
zoological notion of autotomy provided pictorial resources for the construction
of the concept of cleavage in the context of the Ferenczi’s studies on trauma.
