Dénouer les alliances inconscientes

René Kaës

Abstract

Four basic catégories of unconscious alliance are described in this article : structuring alliances, défensive alliances, pathological dérivatives of defensive alliances, and offensive alliances. These are discussed in terms of their emergence in the group, and in the analytic situation. Particular attention is devoted to negative pact between Freud and Fliess at the origins of psychoanalysis. The author shows how these alliances are constitutive of the unconscious in the formation of the individual subject.

Keywords

unconscious alliances, narcissistic contract, sibling pact, paternal alliance, negative pact, perverse contract, shared denial, offensive alliances, formation of the unconscious
